All parts, assemblies, and devices used in aeroplanes and helicopters require individual approvals from the respective manufacturers and official supervisory authorities. Loll Feinmechanik develops, certifies, and produces individual parts, assemblies and devices from various materials such as aluminium, to high-alloy steels and titanium. We use these materials to manufacture structural components, electromechanical assemblies, ignition chambers for ejection seats, rotor axles for rotorcraft, components for oxygen supply, hydraulic cylinders. and rivet assemblies. We are ISO 9100 certified for our services in the aviation industry.
ENERGY EXTRACTION.
Industry:
When accessing oil, gas, and geothermal energy or conducting geotechnical research, deep boreholes must be drilled to prospect for and explore deposits. In these cases, distances of ten kilometres or more are not uncommon. Drilling rigs used in such applications are subjected to extremely high physical, thermal, and chemical stress. All technically complex components must be designed to be robust enough to withstand these forces.

Loll Feinmechanik designs and manufactures complex components and creates entire assemblies made of stainless steel (e.g. 17-4 PH), particularly corrosion-resistant nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloys (e.g. Inconel® 625) and other chemically resistant nickel-based alloys (e.g. Hastelloy® alloys). This also includes fail-safe assemblies for pre-driven, controllable drilling units. In some cases, up to 30 individual work steps are required for production, including deburring, extrusion, honing, and endoscopic inspection of the workpieces.
LABORATORY AND ANALYSIS TECHNOLOGY.

Extensive tests, measurements, and analyses are continually conducted in the fields of chemical and pharmaceutical research, as well as in the food industry and materials science.
